Another acting gig in another short film

Some good news on the horizon. I just got cast in a short film called Starboy. I play the older brother. The description for the character when I auditioned was "He is kind of like Jack Black." Good by Michael J. Fox and hello Jack Black.

A side note: I get to take a poop on camera!

I rock like the D!

Bios/synopsis for December 6th

DARK GRINCH
Larry and Gary's rendition of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"; to
understand Larry and Gary…please visit larryandgary.com…we can't do it
justice here.

Eric and Scott Jenson (Directors/Producers) started Dreamreel
Productions after graduating from Gustavus Aldophus College. They have
jointly produced over 10 short films and will passionately pursue
their dream of creating films that offer transforming truth.

GRANDFATHER'S BIRTHDAY GRANDFATHER'S
BIRTHDAY stars veteran stage, screen and television actor Robert
Prosky in the touching story of an elderly widower excited to
celebrate his 79th birthday. The film follows Grandfather's day and
the range of emotions he feels as he comes to grips with one of life's
tragic realities. Based on a short story first published in the late
Ann Landers' column, the film was mixed at Skywalker Sound and went on
to win 23 awards worldwide, screen in 15 countries, get translated
into four languages and receive a regional Emmy. It is now used for
education on elderly issues by over 1000 schools, churches and aging
institutions across the USA.

Gayle Knutson (Director) is a 25-year veteran of the film, television
and commercial industry. Her first independently produced short film,
GRANDFATHER'S BIRTHDAY (www.GrandfathersBirthday.com), won 23 awards
worldwide including a regional Emmy. It has screened in 15 countries,
been translated into 4 languages and viewed by over 7 million people.
Gayle is currently in production on her next project, PRISONER 32,232
about concentration camp survivors. It is due for release in 2007.

TRASHED AND BROKEN HEARTED (MUSIC VIDEO)
Shot in a film noir style, "Trashed" shows a typical night in the
lives of Vince (Mark Sweeney) and Edie (Deanne McDonald), a married
couple who try hard to mask their true discontent. Venus DeMars stars
in dual
roles as the shadowy Mr. E, and the sultry Chanteuse, both of whom are
connected to Vince in mysterious ways.

Nikolas Allen (Director) started the production company
Digital_Renegade in 2001. With a background in music and advertising,
he set out to create high-concept music videos and short films that
rock. If his movies were human, they would date strippers and wear
leather pants. Opulence, artifice, entertainment, emotion, it's all
good. A hands-on filmmaker, Nikolas writes, directs, shoots, and edits
his own projects. He is
currently pondering his next attack, like a swift ninja on crack.

HIS LITTLE GIRL
A young woman, Debbie, struggles through a difficult late night shift
at a small family restaurant. As she begins to settle into her mundane
routine, her estranged father. Karl, appears without notice. Having
not seen his only daughter since her childhood, Karl tries desperately
to reconcile the relationship, but only rehashes memories Debbie has
buried deep within herself.

Andrew Stewart (Director) has a B. A. in film/video making from the
Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He writes and directs his own
films while assisting with and directly working on fellow filmmakers'
projects in Minnesota. A strong Minnesotan filmmaking community is
central to his motivations and efforts, along with a love of film and
a drive to tell impacting, socially-relevant stories. Andrew is
currently on assignment in New York.

SLICKER
Exactly what is a "nearly benign" crime? In a cat and mouse battle of
wits, two strangers compete for the title of "Who is Slicker?"

Chris Stocksmith (Director) moved to Minneapolis because of it's
fertile music scene. While playing drums in the band "Help Me Elmer",
he began taking an interest in graphic design. Years later he became a
multi-media artist at Fallon Worldwide and also became the drummer for
the infamous " Mason Jennings Band". At Fallon, Chris was the lead
programmer on the advertising-world-changing BMWFILMS.COM. SLICKER is
Mr. Stocksmith's final film as a student of The Film School at The
Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

SAY NOTHING
Boy meets Girl…blah, blah, blah…

Jason Lausche and Andrew Hunt (Directors/Producers) founded the
creative group, Sleepy Eye, in March of 2002. Specializing in
developing original content for commercials, short and feature films,
they strive to embrace a specific genre, hug it until it can't
breathe, flip it over, turn it on it's ear, and give it a wedgie. For
more information please visit sleepyeyeflix.com…

DEAR JANE
Dear Jane: By the time you read this, I'll be gone…

Nikki Miller (Director) graduated from Macalaster College in 2003 with
a degree in Anthropology and Women's Studies. She is now putting her
degree to good use making films about dead prostitutes and serial
killers.

ALTER EGOS: THE SUPER (Feature trailer)
Clyde discovers a group of dead superheroes on his rooftop. After a
run-in with a number of multi-power heroes (aptly named omni-humans)
he finds himself as the prime suspect of a the murders in a strange
world of superheroes.

Edward Linder (Director) is a local filmmaker and actor in the Twin
Cities. Mr. Linder has been making films since 1999 and his production
company, TMJ Productions, derived it's name from the band "Too Much
Joy".

SNUFF (DOCUMENTARY WORK-IN-PROGRESS)
"Snuff: a documentary about killing on camera" is a featurette film
examining the existence of films in which people are murdered on
camera and the culture surrounding said films. Through interviews with
former FBI Profilers, Cultural Academics, and Film Historians the
documentary delves into the history of Snuff Films. The FBI claims
there is no evidence to prove the existence of Snuff and, therefore,
Snuff Films are a myth. This documentary analyzes the relationships
between war, cult films, serial killers and pornography to prove
whether or not this pervasive myth is, in fact, reality.

Paul von Stoetzel (Director) has written/directed and produced several
films and plays. After directing the award winning short H.P.
Lovecraft adaptation, "Asleep in the Deep" he was commissioned by
Granite Ridge Productions to write a screenplay called "Ratlines"
about how Nazi war criminals escaped from Europe through the Vatican.
Granite Ridge also produced a film that Paul von Stoetzel directed for
the Minneapolis 48 Hour Film Festival, "Von Convex; The Cutting Edge
of Experimental Filmmaking", it won two awards and was nominated for
the Best of Fest-Minneapolis. He is now in post-production for The
Belly of the Beast, a documentary about missing children that was
featured in "Screen Magazine". Besides directing other short films,
his feature length film Snuff: a documentary about killing on camera
is also currently in post-production. Paul von Stoetzel is also in
Pre-Production to direct another short film, "Killing Kelly" that will
be produced by Robb Ross Productions.

HEXIDERMY/MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK MUSIC VIDEO
Shane Nelson edited bits and pieces of a feature length documentary to
create a music video featuring Motion City Soundtrack. The front-man
for this hugely popular music group also starred in Hexidermy, which
was shot as part of the 48 Hour Film Festival and was the first film
to ever be shot on actual film stock (16MM).

Shane Nelson (Director) got into producing and directing to score chicks.

I got one!!! Lucky...

I went out to see if I could get a Nintendo Wii this morning. I went to 3 places (2 Targets and Walmart) and the last place, one a guy wanted me to buy is Ticket at Target for $50.00. I guess he figured that no one was going to buy the ticket so he gave up and just gave the ticket to me. Lucky, lucky, lucky. Theo and I are going to have a fun Christmas this year. I also got 3 games. Zelda, Rayman, and Marval Alliance.

Updated Blog

Where is Edward? Wow has it been that long since I have BLOGED? Well I have been busy. Sorry for not updating in quite sometime. Okay here we go, I have flown to San Diego for a Tradeshow for work, had a family Vacation at Walt Disney World, and I went to do a little acting gig in Delaware. Here are some photos from San Diego and Florida.

If I could afford to live anywhere it would be San Diego, CA, my hometown where I was born. I love it there. What’s not to love? The weather is great, the smells are wonderful and it has a lot of culture in the arts. But the downfall is too many people and expensive over all. So I will stay in the change of seasons, Minnesota.

Disney World, the happiest place in the world. On the opposite side of the country where the Mouse Rules! I went and had a real vacation this year, a whole week out off the office not working or answering the cell phone. Stacey, Theo, my mother, and me spent 6 days at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in sunny hot Florida. We visited all the parks and spent a little time at Blizzard Beach, a water park on Disney property. My favorite park is still Disney-MGM. Probably I like Disney-MGM is because it has some Star Wars attractions in the park. Plus the park is mellow and smaller then the other parks, so at the end of the day you are not dead from going place to place.

Best NewRide: Everest
Lamest Ride: The Haunted Mansion – Needs a little update. This ride was the Sh@t in its day, 25 years ago.
Best Attraction: Crush the Talking Turtle from Finding Nemo
Lamest Attraction: Sounds Dangerous - Starring Drew Carey
Best Food: Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge
Not overly exposed Disney Character: Jack Skellington

Once I returned from our family vacation I got a call that APRI, a training course needed some help since a male actor canceled last minute. I said sure I can help out. Flew out the Thursday morning and flew back Friday afternoon.

Over the course of begin gone from blogging I picked up some new music
The Decemberist
Scissor Sisters
The Killers
My Chemical Romance
Gnarls Barkley

The Month at hand

Okay here we go. I have not done this in a while. Post a blog that is. October is going to be busy. I fly to San Diego on Friday and then come back next Wednesday. I then will be in town for 5 days then I am off to sunny Florida with the Family for a whole week at Disney. I am excited to go. Since I am a big kid, I love Disney even though they are a huge corporation. But it is magical place none the less. Then I know I have about 5 more trips for work before the end of year. I even may make it back to Washington DC and visit with Carin and Joe. But October is my favorite time of year. It is the only holiday where I can just share it with my imitate family. Plus I love the aspect of Halloween. It is also a blast going out with Theo Trick or Treating. Since Camp Spooky is no longer I do not know if we will make it to THE PARK. A stupid name for an amusement park. We may just go to the MN Zoo this year. I still need to make it to the Science Museum too. Tomorrow Okay here we go. I have not done this in a while. Okay now I am rambling. I think I will have a Horror Movie Fest at my house this month since Kat is starting to get a taste of flesh. Movies that we may watch Nightmare on Elm Street The Exorcist From Dusk till Dawn. A little something for everyone e
